Tour around UK

Postby Froggy bunnyman » Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:18 pm

Hi mates,

Here is the latest info on facebook

Echo & The Bunnymen will be taking Ocean Rain on tour around the UK in September. 6 amazing venues in 6 fantastic cities. We will be offering a exclusive 24hr bunnymen website only pre sale. More details to follow soon

How do you understand this "around UK" ?
Does it mean "in UK" or "around UK" (which means Europe just outside UK) ?
i think it means in UK but I'm not sure

Sorry for not understanding these subtilities...

Might be a tour of oil rigs.

means in different places in the UK

Such as London, Birmingham etc...

All I hear is Mooooooooooooo and kerching!!

I'd only go if they play Porcupine as well.

otherwise it's a rip off.

Ocean Rain makes another once in a lifetime reappearance after the excellent Crocs/HUH tour?

That'd be a good idea. I'd go if they provide free helicopter travel to and from the oil rig in the north sea. If it was a small venue with a small audience then maybe as it's an entirely different experience. I doubt it though as odd venues aren't the Bunnymen thing anymore other than Mac playing in churches. Neither is small selected audiences as pre-sale is probably just like the last one. Buy the supposedly best seats in the house before the rest go on sale. No ta.

all this oil rig talk is bringing back memories
of Thomas the Tank Engine.

That Diesel was a crafty old bugger.

I can see it now.

"Hello, North Sea!!"

going to set up a nice rumour on the FB page,
wonder how long it'll last?

Doesn't sound like a new album will be forthcoming this year.

I would have thought they'd have gotten all they could (monetarily) out of the OR shows, and that's why they moved on to Crocodiles and HUH. OR must be a bigger money maker for them. What a snooze fest.

Don't bother. The powers that be (TPTB) protect these mindless drones with much fervor. It's their core audience these days. Ever visit the website? The myspace page? Incredible exercises in mindless drivel and asswiping.

Oil rigs would be cool. Probably want to avoid the BP ones.

There's also the old napolenic forts round the southern coast. That'd be cool. One of them is or was the self-styled independent Principality of Sealand. Or fortified towers in the Thames built during WW2:

Don't know why they never peformed it here.

http://www.carnglaze.com/

It was discussed several years back if I recall when they were first thinking of the Ocean Rain in its full entirety gig(s).
