Really good debut album Palace out now-very House Of Love,Kitchens of Distinction 1988 with a big dollap of Mac/Morrisey on vocals.Well worth a listen guys.Off to see them play by me on Sunday in Kings Heath.

Checked them out recently. Sound good, albeit nearer to Editors, Interpol, your band or the White Lies. White Lies new album... pah... great reviews and yet it sounds like a poor man's Depeche Mode meets Tears for Fears. Saw then support British Sea Power a few years back and wasn't particularly impressed.

Definitely hear Morrissey in a few tracks.

It is an excellent album and they all are only about 20, which is pretty amazing that they have churned out such a solid debut album. Only track I dislike is Paper Thin, it sounds like some late 50s Cliff Richard or similar crooner-type song.

Wonder what they are like live...

I couldnt go last Sunday on account of my wife's Mom passing away on the night so thinking about seeing them at Shepherd Bush in October.Ive sold about 4 albums for them so far!:)

On a positive note had a great gig last night with Dreadzone.Slightly strange in that when we turned up to soundcheck all their gear was on stage and we were told not to move anything even the mic stand and the singers stool!Didnt quite work out like that.Oh and some bastard nicked my amp cover.

I think, but can't recall exactly, seeing Dreadzone about 1995. I met the band afterwards. Pity Pharmatronik can't venture outside Wolverhampton as I noticed Dreadzone are playing near to me in March. There's a big world outside Wolverhampton, so they say.

We're trying!Unfortunately alot of venues are only interested in putting bands on with a ready made student crowd to come and get pissed but watch this space.

The band were alright actually-the singer came and had a word and the guitarist was fine.The only word the ex-BAD guy said to me was 'When are you finishing' before we'd come onstage!Im use to it by now though:)

You need to be a support act for some band vaguely known about, at least you'd be guaranteed the pissed students. Got one of those type gigs tonight to go to, but at least there will be the older punters there too from the last time I went. Call for the next Bunnymen "greatest hits" tours, your band would be an ideal support. I can quite understand the irritation though.
