New Start to the Setlist

Postby crystal89 » Fri Feb 11, 2011 5:26 pm

Ok, was listening to Porcupine, and thought
that would be a great song to start a gig.

Also we know their newer songs are shit, take the whole
of the Fountrain of Vomit, A lot of Flowers and most WAYGTDWYL,
so why not keep 10 of the old favourites and chop and change
a few as the recent tour showed that A Promise and Stars are Stars
would be great songs to hear other than Going Up for the umpteenth
time we've had enough of the Chant, and The Disease, which is a pile
of wank not suited to a Bunnymen Show.

Other songs to bring back

Heads Will Roll
Just A Touch Away
Altamont
Fools Like Us
Scissors in the Sand

Just made a couple of corrections
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I would like to add Simple Stuff, Clay, Porcupine, Heads Will Roll, My White Devil and All Because of You Days to the set list

Fairy Snuff.

Maybe Bomber's Bay,
heard The Game live, but think Mac might have been "high"

Quite like ripeness and higher hell if I'm honest, which
is probably illegal.

Yes and let's never speak of it again. We have a reputation to maintain here at VT.

I like the idea of some Evergreen songs coming back myself. We might have to wait for the 20 year Evergreen anniversary tour for that in 2017 however

the problem as I see it is twofold.

1. songs that Mac has to sing.
2. Songs that Mac can no longer sing.

the two are most often interconnected.

I.e. Never Stop

Don't worry, the tour will only be 3 dates.

Now way, their current bassist will have been in the band longer than Les has.

Let's do some math, I am pretty sure that since 1999 there have been 5 bass players

Ste joined in 2005 so that's 5 years roughly since we are barely into 2011.
Les started in 1979 until 1990 and then again from 1997-1999 so that's 13 years

Ste needs to make it 8 more years to tie with Les but 2017 is 6 years away.

Nope.
