Cut Copy - Zonoscope

So pitchfork and every other blog is fawning over this.

A major let down compared to the two prior as far as I am concerned. It sounds like mid American pop radio 80s music that was considered bad then but lacks the hooks of the music from the era. You could do better in the 80s bargain bin.

I may change my mind after more than 5 listens. Actually, as I play these vids and listen, the songs are starting to sound better. Strange.



Well, this one sounds more like Waiting For My Man moving into Partridge Family and The Turtles.

Heard the last few songs floating on the night air Sunday night at the laneway festival in Sydney.I chose to see -!!! playing at the same time-clashes aarrrgggh.
But hearing some of cut copy the other day I thought sounded more like OMD the voice/harmonies so much so.Much time has passed since OMD first came about (though I see that they have reformed and playing again) the kids don't know OMD so Cut Copy are new and fresh-go figure
