General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

Wonder if the manics are ruing the massaging of their fanboy egos by having their pop star friend on their record now that its succumbed to the non-charting curse of the bunnymen?

Looks like it doesn't it, although the album did slightly better.

Coldplay - you'd think people would get bored of them now after 10 years of the same stuff. Middle of the road. Talking about middle of the road, I was walking down the street the other day when this car went past playing James Blunt at full blast. I shouted at them "WTF? James Blunt? At full blast?". Usually, you'd expect it to be hip-hop or even Professor Green or similar white honkie stuff played loudly from one of those chav mobiles with the full spoiler and go faster stripes, but no this was someone playing James Cunt. I still cannot get my head round it. James Blunt????

According to his entry in Uncyclopedia he is, so it must be true.

Looks like the Bunnymen's chart magic rubbed off on them.

I was thinking that. The minute they got Mac onboard. They were doomed. Doomed I say.

Meanwhile over at Bunnymen HQ

We've just heard from the Sean, James and Nicky and Some KInd
Of Nothingness, featuring Mac on vocals, has gone into the charts at
No: 44. Our biggest hit since Lips Like Sugar. Thank you to everyone
who brought the record.

Cheers,

I read somewhere (maybe NME) that Nicky was very distressed that it was the first single for about ten years not to get in the top 40. I hated it at first but it kind of grew on me

Postby podge » Tue Feb 15, 2011 10:02 am

I live in the U.S. and can not find a cd copy/mp3 download of the Candleland/Mysterio Expanded release. Does anyone know how to get a copy of this release legally?

thanks
