I have been told that Glee is like Fame, but even more shitter, unbelievably shit. I watched it once. That cheerleader one called Claire was quite fit. You know the one, the one with magical powers, although I'm reliably informed that she preferred girls in the last season. I thought for a moment she'd get it on with Peter - the one who could fly and sing old Sister Sledge songs at the same time - or that bloke who could hear clocks ticking in his mind as well as a damn catchy Christina Aguilera tune. Oh well.

By the way, I'd like to inform Black Francis that our Ricky Gervais/Chris Martin/Guy Ritchie swap with Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna is off, after finding this particular clip of Glee. It ain't happening. No way.

I have to admit I watched it a few times, mostly because I thought the Japanese characters were funny. The one with the glasses that used to screw up his face and close his eyes when he was moving from place to place. He was always singing Britney Spears' "I'm A Slave 4 U" with that redhead waitress he fancied.

Of course, if you mean why do we need crappy American TV shows when we have enough of our own crappy shows, which to be honest, is rather alot. Totally. Glee, and our little "gems" - X-Factor, Celebrity Ballroom Dancing On Ice. The past series of Dr Which was quite bad as well with its gay overtones and need to play Leona Lewis tracks in the background, or the Dr and his gay assistant having an urge to sing a Take That song in unison. The original series was never like that.
