Seahawks 12th man causes small tremor

Postby Frank The Bunny » Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:22 pm

Marshawn Lynch's 67-yard touchdown run on Saturday rocked more than just the New Orleans Saints defense.

The reaction from the sold out crowd at Qwest Field also apparently shook the earth, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismograph Network in this report last night from Q13 FOX.

From the report:

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network recorded a small tremor at exactly 4:43 p.m. Saturday afternoon from an old monitoring system near where the Kingdome used to stand.

That time is almost exactly when Lynch broke what turned out to be the game-deciding touchdown run in the 4th quarter, sealing the improbable win by the Seahawks.

No word yet on whether the impact of Tracy Porter being viciously stiff-armed to the ground contributed to the quake.

Yeah, but you know Buffalo got CJ Spiller and Freddie Jackson so why would we need Lynch?

Must be nice to make the play offs with a 7-9 record. I hope Seattle goes all the way!

America's team!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I bet Brett plays for them if they go to the Super Bowl. They can do that right - make an exception in Brett's case?

No - he has to announce his retirement, THEN we can swoop in and pick him up and put him on our roster

I guess the question would be - did your mom take da Bears or did da Bears take your mom?

As for the game - I don't want to venture a prediction for fears I might jinx one team or the other
