Ah yes. Maybe the best live Bunnymen show I've seen recorded. Simply amazing!

The band/management should think about releasing this on DVD, remasteredn if they have the rights. Maybe through the website or something. I'd pay for that.

Yes they should. And put out a CD of the whole thing too.

This was the gig that Comcast (of all companies) was showing OnDemand. Managed to burn a copy of it, I'm sure this is where these HQ vids came from. I had two different bootlegs of this show before I grabbed the Comcast one. The first one I had was oddly in B&W on VHS, and didn't start until the 3rd song in the set. Then I found a DVD boot in decent quality that started from the beginning, but cutoff in the middle of OTW. This show is pretty much perfect, with the exception of Mac's crap safety pinned T-shirt.

People in the UK might be interested to know that Sky Arts is showing the Rockpalast Bunnymen gig this coming Friday (4th Feb) at 9 pm (it's on Sky Arts HD as well). One to record I guess, if you have satellite TV.

Join the club. I thought it was worth sharing that information, even though I don't have access to Sky Arts myself. I have been kind of hoping that BBC4 screened something with the Bunnymen on as they periodically have old concerts on (I watched Pulp at Glasto circa 1994 a couple of weeks ago, which was great). But alas, sigh.

Imagine watching that in HD, assuming the original concert footage is in high enough quality. I'm actually jealous of those people with those dishes on the outside of their houses for once.

I suppose a 'dish' in your neck of the woods is a young man in tweed wearing a cravat, driving a Morgan.

A Morgan old chap? I have to say that the Aero Supersports model is rather fetching, but that's more of a weekend racer, and young Rupert enjoys a dash around the manor lawn in his Morgan Super Sport Junior pedal car.

Yes, round my way I guess a "dish" would be a slang word used by a female toff, let's calll her Harriet Jollyhockeysticks-Smythe-Jones, to describe her ideal man in tweed but in a Bentley Continental instead. He might drive an Aston Martin. The "dish" might even drive a top of the range Land Rover if he is married - as it isn't the school run at the weekend so the wife doesn't need it - and he can fill the car up with few more crates of Dom Perignon than he would be able to if using the Bentley.

Posh totty eh? I can picture her spread-eagled on the bonnet of your Morgan.
