The audio is from the extra tracks on the Crocodiles remaster.

The video footage is largely edits from the Shine So Hard video

would love to hear your thoughts on it

enjoy....

sadly the source material is very poor quality, so its case of silk purses and sows ears.

this is the best quality version you'll find on youtube though

it can be viewed at 720 resolution for 'least bad' quality

I wish I'd been to the Crystal Day gig at the St George's Hall as well. I managed to get hold of two sets of the programme/ticket/ferry ticket on Ebay a few months ago but it's hardly the same as being there.

Find a bootleg copy of the May 12, 1984 show in Liverpool, drink 10 or 12 shots of tequila, crank up the stereo and close your eyes. BOOM, you are there! Works for me every time!

I think The Tube special on the Crystal Cay was probably what made me realise the Bunnymen were something a bit special. Most of the kids at school were either into U2, Simple Minds and Big Country or Status Quo and the metal bands of the time but the Bunnymen were so obviously in a different league. Happy days.

There might have been two Crystal Day sections on the Tube. One was Jools Holland involved in the day's 'happenings' with some footage of the evening's show whilst the other was a longer programme showing maybe 30-40 minutes of the gig. Check out Steve's recordings list on the links page.
