Mick McCarthy is the coach,he's the coach.

Mcarthy was really funny on the radio this morning. Meanwhile Hodgson's moaning about being booed by the fans. I bet he's on Jobsite already looking for a new one.

I said months ago on here they needed to get rid of him, but would they listen... no. Hodgson is probably one of the worst managers in the premiership. You can see that a mile off. I was going to put up his post-match interview, but it was so friggin boring that I can't be arsed.

How do you explain what he did for Fulham then? Liverpool is an impossible job for anybody. And the deluded Scousers want Kenny or Rafa next, hilarious.

What, he got Fulham to the final of the Europa Cup that they then lost? Terrific. Didn't a certain Steve McClaren achieve the same thing?

I think the Scousers are deluded to think they are going to win the league with another or any manager, but you have to admit that their current situation, even if it is highly amusing, suggests that something is very wrong at that club.

Cant see the point of chanting Dalgliesh's name at all.Next time the Wolves lose we'll all chant 'Cullis','Cullis'.We deserved to beat them, they need to live with it instead of thinking they can turnover us 'minnows' like Wolves and Blackpool 5 nil every week.We only lost last year at Anfield because Reina got Ward a second booking-then he returns and stuck it up 'em.Of course my joy is short-lived until our next match!

To keep Fulham up that season then to establish them as a top half Prem side was a great achievement. Maybe the problem is the levels of expectation between the two clubs.

As an outsider I'd say the problems are all down to Rafa. He spent millions on very average players while living off his one lucky night in Istanbul with Houllier's team.

Owen Coyle would be a great appointment for them as much as I despise the man.

Brian Laws is looking for a job too.

I'm an outsider too, but as a football fan I don't like the shenanigans going on at Liverpool. Same I'd be with any previously half-decent team in the premiership.

It is obvious the rot set in due to Rafa. But the least you'd expect for an ambitious club, even one considered too ambitious for their own good, is the appointment of a top manager. Hodgson isn't that and as you say, what he did with Fulham was good achievement but I think there is a huge gulf between managing a mid-table team and one that has spent most of the last decade within the top four (with the exception of a couple of seasons).

They shouldn't sack Hodgson now though. They need to do that in the summer, get a top manager in with experience of managing a top side, and also new players. My guess is he'll be gone in January though. Mental that some scousers have been calling for the return of Rafa.

The whole Premier League has gone mad. How can Liverpool compete? Manchester City have spent over 350 million and so far can only get 5th.

Blackburn Rovers bought by an Indian chicken company, sacking Fat Sam and wanting a top 5 finish with a 5 million budget.

With Abramovich seemingly getting bored with Chelsea, the unrest at Liverpool and even teams like Bolton running with debts around the 100 millon mark, I feel it's only a matter of time that the whole thing starts to implode, and maybe it needs to.

If we are being totally honest, the football's not great anymore either. How many great games are there? All these sides too scared to lose, all playing one up front. It's starting to really bore me.

Totally agree Crystal Days. Maybe once it implodes, it'll go back to being like the old days. Jumpers for goalposts and all that. The last hurrah will be the introduction of a winter break with extra premiership games abroad played in desperation to raise extra revenue through foreign TV coverage, by which time nobody in the UK will give a frig about the league anymore.
