Here it is, for those of you who were unable to attend:

Kelley Stoltz:

The Bunnymen:

As mentioned in a prevous thread, my digital audio recorder was beginning to fail and this recording required a great deal of editing to clean it up. But you would not know that listening to it. Portions of three songs had to be repaired by splicing in parts of the same songs recorded in Liverpool two nights later.

Pictures of that night can be found on my blog here:

Turn up the stereo, pour a glass of wine and play the two shows as we heard them that evening. Enjoy.

Post'em if ya got'em!

Sick4Tunz is the recording of Kelley's set good? As I missed it.

Great to see some stalking type photos on your blog. There he is - at the window, he's there! He's there! Now just get him in the crosshairs of my snipers rifle. That's what stalkers do isn't it? Or they build a shrine to their favourite star before the court injunction is taken out. Kind of like this:

Sick4Tunz thanks for the recording and great effort on the blog. Well done. Do you know if they are doing Crocs/HUH when they come to the US?

The recording quality of Kelly's show is very good. Kelly is somewhat soft spoken and his band did not have the benefit of all the speakers available in the concert hall, so the sound of the band does not come through with all the force of the Bunnymen. Unlike the problems experienced recording the Bunnymen, all of Kelly's shows are recorded flawlessly. Must be all the dancing, jumping, pushing and shoving once the fog began to roll off the stage.

Yes, there is a history of stalking in my life. But don't worry Ian, Van Halen may go on tour in 2011 and it will be Eddie's turn.

I didn't want to criticise as Kelley posts here, but I noticed when I arrived at the venue and watched the last song in his set that the sound wasn't particularly good. Not his fault, but I thought his type of songs might be better performed in smaller venues. I certainly got that impression from listening to To Dreamers that it wouldn't do that album justice being performed in a place like Brixton.

I agree. The sound equipment used coupled with the cavernous Brixton hall probably caused the music to lose its full impact. A smaller venue would be perfect. No fault of Kelly's as the music shines.
