I haven't read moanings regarding these last concerts.
It seems everybody here (well the lucky bastards who went to gigs) enjoyed these gigs a lot.

Dr Cheese wrote:Sadly I think that's probably true, a lot of the punters on Saturday looked a bit bemused by some of the less well known tracks but as soon as something familiar started up off they went jumping and singing. Which is only natural I suppose, nobody wants to go to a live gig and listen to semi obscure album tracks they've never heard before but there has to be a better way than sticking religiously to the same tired old songs gig after gig after gig until the end of time like the Bunnymen do. I sometimes think the usual setlist was handed to Mac by fucking Moses!
look don't blame me
the last time I gave Mac a cracking good set list he went to the bog and wiped his arse with it.. still, I have it framed and hanging on the wall in the jacks .. I am thinking of selling it on ebay but want to give you devoted fans first bagsies
any offers

The crime?Dave on lights put a 'badly' timed set of striplights straight on Mac for a nano-second.
I think by the end of the week Dave thought "fuck it-smoke overload"!Loads more at Liverpool than last weekend.
I have to agree with Ian. No one wants to see the bald spot or flabby neck or stick legs, even for a nano second.
Was baby Daisy Mey there? Or Miss Chancer?

very true, the only critical comments concern the previous decades predictable set lists!

Erm... As Froggy Bunnyman and Bunnygod1 say. Read the reviews from the start rather than just one page. Jeez, I mean what do some people want? You can't say that people are less enthusiastic or moaning about these performances of Crocs/HUH when the minute many of us got back from whichever venue came on here and said the gigs were fantastic even into the early hours the next morning.

Actually, the only one who moaned was me...and Kounelaki because we couldn't make it to one of the gigs (for different reasons though)

Why they haven't been closing the set with a Heaven Up Here / Happy Death Men twin pronged sonic assault all these years is a source of mystery to me.
I thought there was a much more positive audience response than I've seen for many years. The Phil Mitchell-a-like mosh pit was fairly frantic at times (particularly when about 5 of them toppled over) and not just in the encore.
Saturday was without a doubt my favourite Bunny gig since Manchester International in 1985. Finally there was a bit of excitement and freshness back. Unfortunately, as has been said, I can't see it lasting.
Only way it could have been improved was if the encore had been a 10 minute version of Broke My Neck and nothing else. If I have to hear Lips Like Sugar one more time I can almost guarantee I will maim a kitten. Serious.

Never heard Broke My Neck, but I love Lips Like Sugar. I think it was the best bit of the concert when they came back on and did that. I think the majority of the crowd thought so too. I loved hearing The Killing Moon too.
I suppose them (and me) are all dickheads with no taste. I think I can live with that.

not at all,its just that it is nice to hear some of the less well known tracks, especially considering the setlist has not changed that much in the past decade

My apologies your Highness.

[quote="Dave Smith" No offence to anyone on here who has never seen them before but....if I hear Walk on the f*cking Wildside one more time when they could be playing ANYTHING off the first two albums now instead......I just hated how the encores sprung 75% of people attending into life but a hyper-charged fucking incredible It Was A Pleasure got a mild round of applause.
[/quote#]
Agree with you on this - hate all the bits he throws in in the middle of NLF (although on Saturday he did a bit of 'The Fountain' which sounded good).
'It Was A Pleasure' was a highlight for me but did you hear Mac say its the most un-bunnymen song they have ever done? I doubt anyone would agree with this!
