Liverpool Tonight

After reading the reviews of the recent shows I'm almost excited about seeing the band tonight. Never thought I'd be saying that again!

Off to pub now. Burnley v Leeds at 3, then off to Liverpool. Should be a great day.

Leaving in about half an hour, hope to get there by about 8.15.

See you at the barricades.

Did he say hi back or did he recognize you as one of those VT dick holes?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

That was one of the best Bunnymen gigs I've seen over the last ten years, the air of apathy that the band had the last time I saw them was gone and Mac seemed well up for it - he almost started dancing during HUH!
All in all a great night with some comedy thrown in when the curtain got stuck during the chants and a roadie had to crawl along the gantry to unhook it.

Agree with Cheese, the curtain incident was funny, kind of ruined the dramatic entrance. Will was more animated than I've ever seen him. I think he broke his guitar at one point with thrashing it so hard.

I really enjoyed it, the venue looked a bit dodgy from the outside, but was great.

They are obviously listening to our hissy fits at VT and we have ourselves to thank for this.

It was positively balmy in the Olympia last night compared to Glasgow this week, it is the only indoor concert I've been to where polar bears were mugging the crowd for their hats and scarfs...........

There is a recording of last nights show (Saturday) here. Unfortunately it doesn't include the Crocodiles section, just the Heaven Up Here & encore section
