2011

Postby Froggy bunnyman » Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:06 am

Well, we're already in december, and we don't have an idea of what's gonna come in 2011 for the band ?!???!!!!!!!

Like many, I'd like them to tour with Crocs/HUH in my country !!!!!!

And not doing a new album, because the Fountain was so disappointing. Except if Will is doing the music mainly.

If someone has the chance to say hello to them on this tour, please try to ask them the plans for 2011...

Cheers

I'd go see it. I have no qualms about them touring behind the first two records. Pink Floyd and Waters have done it for centuries.

Count me in. Maybe they could throw in "Porcupine" too.

I wouldn't hold your breath for Porcupine:

“We’d like to tour Porcupine,” he laughs. “ But there’s songs on there Pavarotti couldn’t have sung because it’s so high. He certainly couldn’t have sung The Back Of Love. I’d have to have an operation to get through the whole of Porcupine.”

Well, he has sang Back of Love with no major problems for years now. But songs like Gods Will be Gods that require a lot of alternating vocals between high and lows. I agree with Mac there. Think he should give that a miss.

I'm holding out for the Grey Album Tour with special guest Blair Cunningham. I predict a standing ovation when he walks out on stage.

They should alternate Blair Cunningham with Tony Blair (due to his 'rock' credentials) each evening, they could call it 'The Which Blair Project'.

None of you has had a conversation with the band or management, regarding 2011 plans ?

Best laugh for the start of a long week...
Add my vote to the Porcupine request.
Question to all: Would you spend the time off work, money to go to more than one show or fly to see them overseas (again)? Or, is one show enough? The reason I ask? Because with the crappy economy the way it is now here in the States, God knows how 2011 will be or is it worth-it to you to go anyway? Just asking.

I would go to an overseas show, possibly. Paris isn't that far away really. Be better in my opinion because I'd be one of the few who would be able to sing along without an accent or mispronouncing words by speaking through my nose. And if there were any people chatting in the audience, they'd be speaking in French so I wouldn't know what they were on about and would be able to concentrate purely on the music.
