Peter Hook to play Unknown Pleasures live in its entirety

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I always thought the older ones laughed at the silly young, self-conscious poseurs...

Well, I laugh, anyway. But I can often pass myself off as younger than I actually am. :)

If you are afraid of getting laughed at why do you keep coming back here?

There was a big local reunion show here recently with a bunch of bands from the early 80's. I didn't go for the same reasons.

funny, I always pictured you on the 30 side of 40... and God has decided for me - I will not be in attendance. Come down with some sort of bug. Even ditched outta work early

God works in mysterious ways.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Well, I'm off the fence. Unless I can find someone to go with (both Mr. noname and my JD-lovin' friend declined) I am not going. I was going to dress super slutty and everything, with my knee-high black boots and short skirt!

Wow, it turns out my waffling about buying tickets saved me $20. The San Francisco show is SOLD OUT! I waited too long, anyway!

Just back from seeing this at the Fonda in L.A. Excellent show! Sold out too, I think.

Crowd ran the gamut from over-excited, over-chatty teen boys to old farts. In other words, a typical crowd. Best outfit of the night: Guy in an eye patch and a white ice cream suit with Joy Division stenciled on his back.

They showed a 20-minute doc before the music. Pointless waste of time. Bring on the band! Hooky sounded very raspy. Also said he had forgotten what it was like to work with a real band. Ouch!

Oh, and Perry Farrell came out during the encore to sing Transmission. Danced all over the stage, even knocked over Hooky's music stand and cheat sheets. Highlight of the evening for me

For $20 plus fees, a good night out.
