Oxford was a bit later,
Kelley on from about 7:45 to 8:30.
The Bunnymen were a bit late on about 9:15, the main set finished
about 10:40. Pushed past curfew and finished about 11:10
I've been going on about 8 for half hour ): bit it seems the curfews or imminent dj danceclubs force the nights to start early - generally half hour break then crocs/huh break and hits set of 4 or 5 tunes. Last night In Oxford Mac Sang his ass off and the band sounded awesome... I had my first front row experience at a bunnymen gig... There was a tiny opening against the rail across from Gordy. Filmed alot of huh set... Title track was HUGE sounding. I raised macs ire by yelling Gordo! He thought I said bored-o... Told me it was his second least favorite moment of the night - worst being when somebody yelled for will to sing. After gig I strummed macs Gibson 335 thats been around for 30 years and heard rumor that the pink tele is having some work done on it. Peasy and the band have been kind as always - if you're in the area and on the fence about going, don't miss it... It's truly well played & sung and the lights etc are fab! A fans dream night for sure.
Jeeezus, I've just watched the videos from Crystal89 (see topic "stop press killling moon")...
and just died...
Bordel de merde, this is the gig of my life and I can't go there !!
Because I can't afford it (unemployed for 1.5 years...)
I was at Royal Albert Hall but couldn't go to see this tour this time.
If only they come to Paris...
I feel desperate, really...
But thanks for the videos, anyway.
Hey Kelley, that makes two of us!! I was the joker who asked for Will to sing,
no wonder Mac was pissed off about that. Was tempted to ask MAc if he'd play
Pinky in Liverpool, as Gordy might like a rest. Nice to hear you filmed
some of HUH, be nice to catch that, my videos are probably not as good as yours.
Nice set by the way, good counterpoint to the swirling mist.
