Johnny Marr tells Cameron to stop saying he likes The Smiths

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I'd love to see his Stella McCartney gumboots, he should have worn them at the Echo Arena to keep him dry.

So... if one eats any form of meat, wears apparel made out of leather, or uses animal products in any form, one shouldn't be a Smiths fan, according to Stephen Patrick Morrissey?

I should point out all Smiths fans who wish to remain in Moz's good graces should also stop taking any medications they have, since EVERY SINGLE ONE was tested in standard clinical trials, including basic pain relievers like ibuprofen, aspirin, and acetaminophen.

I subsist strictly on breast milk so I'm hoping Morrissey approves.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Only if your supply is vegetarian-made. :D

BTW...I do really, really love the Smiths; I do get weary of Morrissey's vegetarian proselytizing, however.

I like solo Morrissey better and he could walk up and spit in my face and I'd still cry and give him a hug.

Wow, you're generous...I don't think Moz should try that on me, if he knows what's good for him and his body parts.

and now its on prime minister's questions...

http://www.nme.com/news/the-smiths/54176

"As someone who claims to be an avid fan of The Smiths, the Prime Minister will no doubt be rather upset this week to hear that both Morrissey and Johnny Marr have banned him from liking them," McCarthy said.

She added: "The Smiths are, of course, the archetypal student band. If he wins tomorrow night's vote, what songs does he think students will be listening to? 'Miserable Lie', 'I Don't Owe You Anything' or 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now'?"

Cameron's response included several Smiths song titles, too.

He said: "I expect that if I turned up I probably wouldn't get 'This Charming Man' and if I went with the Foreign Secretary [William Hague] it would probably be 'William It Was Really Nothing'."

cajn also get it in hansard... if you can be arsed...
