What's in a name? Electrafixion

I may have mentioned this back in the 90s, but I've got my suspicions about how the name "Electrafixion" came about. I believe Will said he had a dream that Mac was strung up on an electric crucifix. I think it came out of Mac & Will's search for a label/distribution deal, or maybe by looking through their music collection

I also wonder about the whole missing Mac/Marr tapes legend.
By my calculations, Marr was already working with The The and Electronic during the period in question. Perhaps their collaboration didn't go beyond working out a couple tunes together, with nothing more than a cassette demo on tape.

They did enough that Marr got songwriting credit on at least two songs -- On Top Of the World (everybody's favorite) and at least one Electrafixion song. Otherwise, I think the partnership (and heist) was more hype than reality.

The Mac and Marr collaboration was a fully formed album of Godlike material which was too good for the likes of the Villiers Terrace crowd.
