Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Seattle-based KEXP had BRMC on air from SXSW for a short semi-acoustic set.
Stream became available yesterday, so I grabbed it and uploaded.

They were incredible in Liverpool last night. Anyone else go?

I'd hate to think what he's doing to the pasty in that lay-by.

The show last night in Hamburg was one of the best I've ever seen! The venue was packed to capacity - with a nice crowd. The band played for nearly two and a half hours with tiny breaks. Setlist was almost as described with a few deviations, which I can't really remember. The sound, lighting, everything was just perfect. Leah Shapiro has to be seen to be believed. A friend of mine compared her drumming to John Bonham's, which is high praise coming from a guy who likes his Led Zeppelin.
I just can't wait for them to come back!

They got a new website.

The song that plays is pretty, nice and creepy. Like Frank.

Saw BRMC back in October.

I think they needed to fill a slot on the US tour because there was not a lot of promo for this gig. (They were opening for Stone Temple Pilots in South Carolina, but Scott Wieland "fell off the wagon", so the gig was canceled.)

Peter Hayes & Robert Been are fantastic musicians!
I love that they pull their sound from the classics of rock, i.e. Zepplin, Floyd, even Beatles.

Anyway, here is a setlist from the gig....

I have a pic of Peter somewhere, but i can't find it right now!

Jesus and Mary Chain.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
