Peter Hook to play Unknown Pleasures live in its entirety

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

He says, "Sowwy" and that is supposed to make it all ok?

So here's a not-so-fun dilemma:

I am too young to have seen Joy Division live, yet they are one of my favorite bands. Hooky will be bringing his JD cash cow show to my neck of the woods in December. So what do I do?

1) Go to the show, knowing full well that Hooky is exploiting Ian Curtis' legacy for his own financial gain, but getting to hear "Unknown Pleasures" live;

or

2) Don't go to the show out of righteous principle.

Opinions?

Go to youtube, there is plenty out there already. Not too sure it's worth it to go see but I have not seen all of the clips

If it were the three remaining members I wouldn't think twice about going but this seems so be an extra special fuck you to the remaining JD members. Maybe it isn't but that's how it comes across to me.

So count me in for righteous principle even though I'm short on principles.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Agreed. The good thing about not killing yourself is that you get to keep doing stuff. Stuff like playing the music you had a hand in creating and hopefully making a little coin in the process.

Watching those videos, I say I'd definitely go. They win me over.

Hook pulls off a good Curtis voice and has a bit of energy. The reworking of the other tune is good. Plus it isn't in an arena setting - looks like you almost get to party with Hook with how small that stage is.

Wow. Kind of like Malkmus dying and Pavement taking a Star Search winner on tour.

I got to see this show when it swung by Sydney end of Sept .Was worth going to see with a mix of warsaw era songs finishing up with transmission and love will tear us apart to finish.My only disappointment was that Hooky though having his bass slung around his neck played it way to rarely and never for a full song.But support by the Light was tight and spot on.The real suprise was how good Hooks voice was as I wasn't expecting this but this was the trade off for less bass playing.
