It's not a lolly, it's an electric shaver. Will is looking puzzled as to why it hasn't recharged properly. Clearly Will is going for the Eric Clapton look in his later years. Either that or Noel Edmonds.

I'll bet Mac is furious with Will for the beard:

"It certainly wasn't as embarrassing as Pete de Freitas' soddin' beard on that last Bunnymen tour in 1987. That was wrong, singing with Sporty Spice wasn't. "

but macs been sporting a bit of a beard these days, though not 'neatly trimmed' like this one, more of a 'been pissed for a week and a half and cant be arsed' beard.

Will is holding a ZOOM H2 digital audio recorder (backside view)

Damn, he's a music bootlegger, probably recording the shows without telling Ian! That's the only way he'll get copies of some of the early shows from Steve!

i thought it was a gene vincent era mic he's picked up at some car boot sale. Still only 150 quid a pop, quite a bargain, and we can expect the next glide album to full of the sounds of south american street markets instead of little welsh kids going on a bout dying. look froward to it.

S4T is correct, Will was standing next to us (name-dropper eh?) at the Wild Swans' December gig recording some of the show before he joined the band for the later songs.

What, during or after having Voodoo Billy in a headlock when the words "us lot on VT" were mentioned?

Obviously my response would have been, "Villiers who?"
