Dude... Working with the Manic Street Preachers is HARDLY the most shameful thing Ian McCulloch has done in the past 10 years. The song whose title you chose to take as your username for one... what a pile of shit.

Sorry. I don't agree. Best move Mac's made in ages, and the Maniacs are a fine band.
Mac looked and sounded better then he has in ages. And you can hardly accuse me of being a B.O.F. secret agent.
P.S. does that site still exist any more?

I will be the judge of what I can or cannot hardly accuse people.

I can't stand the Maniacs as I have already stated and this song in particular is a weak, annoying effort and ranks among my worse nightmare collaborations (other than teaming up with Take That or Coldplay to form some mega uber super naff band group). However, I have to agree with Dr Evil. It is a smart move by Mac especially when, quite frankly, nobody gives a damn about Bunnymen anymore. Who'd begrudge Mac if he is singing on a track on an album with largely favourable reviews in most of the English national press this morning and the potential (and probability) to go Top 10 in the UK charts. Maybe he'll find his golden fleece that the kids want this time.

Dont know...just read NME in Sainsburys(wont buy that shite) and the album gets 7/10 with two duff tracks-one being the 'cod plumber rock of their 'star colab' with Ian McCulloch'!lol

Hmm... NME changed tracked as their earlier "first listen" review in July 2010 (still online) was "Ina McCulloch guests on the Manics’ first-ever boy-on-boy duet, his gravelly lugubriousness providing a graceful counterbalance to JDB’s higher-end serenade. This tones down the bombast to reveal the more sombre side of the band’s reinvention, floating along on more emotive and reflective plane, awash with strings and choirs." Kind words for Ina there. Most of the broadsheets have been kind from what I have read this morning. Still, it is shite and we know it.

It's not shite, just good rock. It is of course not the God-like brilliance of the early Bunnymen or new bands like The XX. But not bad for old men.

Nah... it's middle of the road, middle-aged shite. Catchy maybe, but it sounds like something from the back end of Britpop - as does the rest of the album. All we need now is Catatonia to reform and all that "Cool Cymru" bollocks again. It's all been done before, by the Maniacs, sadly. I want to see Mac duet with Kelly Jones.

That song is utter and complete shite, an embarrassment to the Bunnymen name.
