Mark Burgess' "Chameleons Vox"

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Burgess is doing a Chameleons tour of the States this month. Looking forward to catching them here in Sea-Town... for $10, it's a can't-miss!

I think this is the end of the tour and there are only west coast gigs left.

Any chance that he'll tour the UK? I'll be first in line for tickets if he is, even if I have to go up North (which I've only done once, for Uncle Jellyfish, Rozi Plain full band and Francois & the Atlas Mountains in Blackburn Lancashire) but it's not as bad as I thought up there. It is a matter of bitter regret that I never got to see the concerts in the Ascension DVDs.

Looks like they played the Castle in Oldham in July. It doesn't appear they're very organized with getting the word out

Just got back. Great gig in a packed room. Note to Echo and the Bunnymen - if you want to see how two original members of a band of your vintage are supposed to rock... go see Mark Burgess' Chameleons Vox.

Nuff fucking said.

Their website is pretty lame as far as figuring out tour dates

Forthcoming and Recent Gigs

There are no scheduled gigs at the moment, and there have been no gigs within the last 90 days.

You can see historical gigs by band by selecting from the links on the left.

That's all that's left... they played the east coast earlier in the year. To be fair, the website you linked to isn't an "official" site. I found out about the gig on the venue's facebook page, I think. I really don't think Mark Burgess is into the internet.

Couple other links:
Chameleons Vox Facebook page:

Mark Burgess' book site (looks bad in IE - use Chrome):

If they were coming near here, I would have heard. The guy has a cult following of aging goths that still sell out Bauhaus shows.

I thought that site was the official site. Good for them it isn't. It is terrible.

I don't get how people call bands like Chameleons, Joy Division or The Bunnymen "goth". Just cuz a song or two wound up on a Cleopatra goth collection doesn't make a band goth.

'Cleopatra collection?', is that like a US 'Reader's Digest'?
