Mark Radcliffe played the Manics track last night. You can listen on the bbc player thing. they start talking a bit about the buns about 1:21:30 in. Sounds like manics with Mac on, if you know what I mean. Or alternatively mac with manics on.

Theres some chit chat after too about the session. e.g. mac to james dean b when preparing for the duet - its OK, i'll be the boy, you be the girl
Not that this is the best thing in the world but I reckon, following that rumour the other year, for his next solo, a bunch of collaborations could be good.

and may be of interest, or not. Radcliffe has his guests bring in a memorable record. he puicks something with a wacky title by Felt which has Elizabeth Frazer singing backing vocals. Not sure I rate this though I have a really good solo guitar instrumental somewhere or other I got as a freebie on a magazine.

starts about 1:34:40

Tepid vocals in the verses from Mac there, even by his hoarse standards. I suppose if that gets released as a single it'll have a cheesy music studio thing going on pair of them singing with cans on their head and a big microphone from the ceiling. It's a god awful song, but probably right up Mac's street for a bit of "it might be what the kids want." Bit of Never Stop creeps in there though.

Your'e right about his solo work - that kind of sickly rousing choral-chorus epic song would be ideal for a Mac only album.

Oh, and I thought it sounds like a Robbie Williams song circa 1997.
