Sound. Mac could sing about eating cheese on toast, or how great Sharktopus is for all I care. Dark, gloomy, awkward not suitable for the radio, brilliantly crafted music. Will's chiming, pinging guitar. A bass line you can hear going through the song. Rythmn guitar hooks. Great percussion. Lots of weird noises appearing in the instrumental break in the middle of the song or at the fade out towards the end.

Other worldliness
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

It's indescribable to me, it's just that special "magical Bunnymen touch" that their best stuff has. No other band has it. It's a combination of unique weirdness mixed with components of rock and Will's other worldly guitar. In other words, it hasn't been seen since the 80's and won't be seen again in it's true form since 2 of the key components (Pete and Les) aren't there anymore. Ultimately, it was 4 members all contributing, all key components that made the Bunnymen sound what it was.

Completely different things going on with each musician but linked in a sort of call and reply, instead of slavishly following the leader-a sort of internal conversation within the band, like a train of thought on a rainy day-best examples are Bedbugs & Ballyhoo, Turquoise Days, No Dark Things, All I Want, Flaming Red, King of Your Castle and Thick Skinned World.

BOF tendancies - is that a disease? I did visit BOF recently and came over all weird and luvy Bunny muvvy like afterwards. Then I started thinking about changing my name to Bunnyboiler.

I just can't think of one bad Bunnymen song. Every one I play is my favorite until I play the next one.

I love everything by the Bunnymen and I just love those two men in their office outfits, even the one with the dodgy tie. I'm listening to Proxy at the moment on repeat on my CD player and getting sexually aroused.   :surprised:      :surprised:
