cool ! i shall try my best to be the forums humble correspondent... hearing it was a pleasure, no dark things etc... gonna be a real treat. I wonder if they'll do a few encores at sets end as well - lips/killing moon/cutter?

I have to agree it will be a treat to hear those songs and a relief from the stale setlist of the bog standard gigs, so personally no to those in the encore... Crocs is the main one I'm going for. Should be a feast of guitars.

What will your setlist be like then? I dare you to do a Bunnymen cover, something obscure that the band wouldn't do.

well i thought i would just do my first two albums in entirety as well...! hah - but i did used to do the groovy- groovy people rant in the middle of one of my more spacey rock tunes and its hard not to include that in the song during the bunnymen gigs. maybe a little simple stuff..?

That's the ticket. Look forward to it Kelley. Been a while since I have gone to a gig to see the support as well.

Thanks for that ... I got new record in october so it's really great timing for me. And it's nice to know my biggest gig in London won't be the brixton windmill (where I've had some fun shows mind you). Which show are you going to?

Do a cover of "Colour Me In, Kansas, In Bluer Skies and Flaming Red" and I be there with my HD camera to record it-if they'll let me. I'll film the other old bloke of course in the hope that he can croak out "No Dark Things" in some meaningful way.
One other thing-Will had better get that guitar break at the end right. He always seems to mess up on the final (original) guitar ending of "Bedbugs & Ballyhoo" or else they cop out by doing the rubbish grey album version, so I'd hate to be deprived of that transcendent guitar break at the end of "No Dark Things."

I'm trying to figure out if it's the songs we love or the time in our lives...

In Bluer Skies is such an awesome song.
Flaming Red? You're dreaming. Let's call Noel Burke and see if he can't sub in.

I sometimes wonder if Flaming Red even tops In Bluer Skies. Call in Noel Burke? You don't need to give Mac much excuse for a punch-up. It's tragic that Flaming Red has no live film, and the only video of In Bluer Skies on YouTube is of such poor quality that even by the abysmal standard of VHS cameras of the time, it's bad.
Is there any software that I can chuck in a few detailed photographs of Mac to "intelligently upscale" the video and get back true HD detail? (My idea. If there isn't I'll have to write some.)
