Pendulum

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Sorry.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The vocalist is using effects on his voice like Cher's Believe or Victoria Beckham's Out of Your Mind.

Sewiously! Next you'll be confessing your adoration for Matt Bellamy of Muse. Wait, why DON'T we have a Muse thread?
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

The thing with Pendulum is that I know they are absolutely shit. A limp wristed mix of the Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Muse, Orbital, Megadeath and 2 Unlimited. It's overproduced, has lame lyrics, the singer can't sing and it's pretensious.

But for some reason, I don't know why, I really like the new album. It's just a mindless, visceral, aural assault. Which, in these troubled Con Dem times, is just what the Doctor ordered (not you Cheese, THE Doctor).

I cant explain it.

At least the singer in Muse has a good voice. Totally wasted on his thrash metal sub-Queen band of course. He should join the Bunnymen or Queen.
As for Pendulum, who needs simplistic, unmelodious, aggressive angst when you can have the much more aggressive but deep, dark and melodic angst of Electrafixion? If they ever write a song like Timebomb or Lowdown I might take take them seriously.
Of course, you could always try System of a Down.

That weirdy guitarist in System of a Down just isnt right.

In comparison Ive always felt the same about Embrace.Completely unoriginal, singer cant sing, nothing to say in the lyrics etc etc.. but for some reason Ive always loved 'em.
