heard tanita tikaram 'good tradition' on the radio coming into work and i know i'm not going to be able to get it out of my head all day. wonder what she's doing now? i believe her brother suffered a similar fate by playing the gay biker in 'this life', though didn't he appear in the enders (oo matron) recently. ah well, its a good tradition... stand by the fireside....

Wasn't Ramon aka Ferdi some hard nut Muslim in Enders who beat that gay bloke up Christian? Not that I watch Eastenders, honestly. Well, when I do it hurts my ears as they are are always shouting at each ovver.

I really can't remember any of Tanita Tikaram's songs at all. At least Chesney Hawkes only hit song is memorable.

well, in that interview, 35 and hinted that not married, wouldn't say who the 'you' is in all the songs but that they sound a bit loved up? So make tyour own mind up. Not seen with a footballer on her arm = lesbian? could be true Isuppose. Joan Baez? About as far away from TT as its possible to get. She's one woman (not to cast sweeping generalisations of course) who looks better as she gets older - though you might not want to take that to its logical conclusion. Cant stand that wailing voice of hers though. Otherwise TT is very low in the register and did a bit of teenage angst rather than save the world lets all love each other nonesense.

I'm sure ramon said a while ago that "this life" practically ruined his career but obviously its not done too badly. NOtably when they did the catch up one off of this life it started with ferdi's funeral.

And how can anyone not possibly remember chesney hawkes (no relation). His dad was in the tremolos you know!

pay attention smiff. ferdi is dead, furthermore, as a character on the telly one might argue that he was never really alive - but maybe not, I'll sit on the fence until Jack has voiced the current thinking stateside on this particular hot potato. ramon is alive and well and has children apparently - no that its proof of anything in particular. TT and he dont talk but gets on well with the little ones (as hole digging goes I ought to stop sopouting my knoweldge now, lest I not be able to defend myself against, you knowm suggestions).

I think in a competition for 'most annoying one hit wonder' joe dolce might have the edge over TT.

I don't know what any of this is about. I understand a few of the words.

She is a lesbian. Incidentally. I'm 37 and not married. As a result, I have my ticket already ordered for Friday night at the Blue Oyster Bar. Should be a good night.
