Right here. I believe Aliens have visited and I don't want to hear anything about distances! I don't care!

My grandfather worked at Area 51 while working for Lockheed's Skunk Works (I think that's what it's called). He never spoke of his time there and became angry if anyone asked. He was old school. He told my dad during the Cuban Missile Crisis that if the sirens went off no matter where or with whom he was to get home immediately so they could all die together as a family. He would work at Area 51 for about three months at a time and all messages from his family would be given to Lockheed, screened, then given to him. He would reply, his message screened, then given to his family. They could not speak directly.

The only info he ever gave me was the SR-71's true capabilities were never released to the public (speed, altitude, etc).

What do you guys think of Bob Lazar? There's just enough there for me to not be able to dismiss him just yet though I am leaning that way.

Are you implying that the SR-71 was a result of secret alien technology? That a pretty big leap based on what you wrote if that's what you were trying to convey.

I really don't know anything about Bob Lazar but a quick Google search reveals many disputes of his background and credentials. I know he claims govt cover up on that but that sure is convenient. Still in the realm of possibility but again, no evidence.

It seems to me that some former Soviet scientist with nothing to lose or an aging government official on his deathbed would be able to produce some hard tangible evidence hidden away somewhere.

Is this the appropriate time to make a joke about Klingons circling Uranus?

There always has to be a Uranus joke when discussing these things. I like how they try to use Urine-as instead of Your-anus. It still makes a grown man snicker. Just stay with the funnier one.

I think the belief in alien visitors has similarities in religion. People so badly want something to be there to explain things we don't yet understand. I mean, we are not smart enough to come up with our own technologies or need to be saved from ourselves so some hidden force must do it that desires to stay hidden form the most part from the population as a whole. Only select individuals get to have the secrets revealed to them whether it be Bob Lazar, Tom Cruise, Whiley Streiber, Moses, The Pope or the Children of Fatima. It's all the same thing.

Or maybe the aliens are just Satan's minions in disguise, messing with us. I'll just go with that one. yep, I actually have evidence of this and was pretty high up in the ranks at the ol' Vatican but the Vatican erased my real identity and has the evidence locked in the Popes gym locker. Now I look unbelievable and seem like a kook. Now go prove that this isn't so. See, it doesn't work that way.

In 1974, I saw weird colored lights in the sky outside the Winn-Dixie in my small Louisiana town. A lot of other people saw them too. There was some official explanation about atmospheric conditions, but I've always wondered.

The X-Files covered a lot of this kinda stuff. Sure, it was a TV show, but ...

I loved that show.

Here is my (fake) ufo pic I took. I think it was 5 miles long:

I don't believe Alien technology has anything to due with any known aircraft. I wasn't trying to imply that. I was just saying 85,068.997 feet and 2,193.1669 mph were not the best the SR-71 could do.

What was funny is, I was watching one of the eyewitness accounts from Texas, and the dude was saying how he considered shooting at the UFO.

I wish he had shot it, because he probably would have disabled it. You travel 3,000 light years only to end up in Texas and your 5 mile long ship gets taken out by a shotgun.

What I've never understood is, how the concept of racing through space on this round rock and death being SO, SO much longer than life is just as strange a concept as UFOs but so many still refuse to believe in them.

I'm not a religious person at all. Maybe "God" and aliens are one in the same but you have to agree that being on this earth, in space and having no choice when it comes to dying are pretty strange things in themselves without UFOs.
