They were followed on the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Futures Stage later in the evening by Echo And The Bunnymen. Despite the tent being one of the most dimly-lit on site, frontman Ian McCulloch still wore his customary dark shades throughout, as the band ploughed through their back catalogue, playing the likes of 'The Killing Moon' and 'The Cutter' in their set.

McCulloch said little during the gig, though he still had the appreciative crowd in raptures by kicking a mock-football made of a huge, rolled up white cloth into the audience at one point.

anyone go?

Chez.

A football made of rolled up white cloth.

I bet U2 are shitting themselves.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The rolled up towel kicked into the audience is becoming a routine part of the act. Good, no mention of kock-knock jokes.

No. Cow shit hurling is all the range round these parts. You just pick up some fresh shit and throw it forwards. I suppose the more skilled hurler might get a bit of a swerve on the cow shit in an attempt to gain distance.

I notice that the BBC didn't show the Bunnymen performance on BBC Three or the red button. I'm getting deja vu with this (was it Glastonbury 2008 or 2009). I'm outraged and will be complaining to the BBC for again ignoring this legendary band. Will I fuck.

well they might do the same old songs over and over again, giving the impression that they're a bunch of yesterdays men who couldn't really give a toss but at least they didn't turn up half an hour late, possibly mime and mispronounce the wrong venue over and over again......
