Look at that nervous energy and Mac playing guitar is so rad. My mind is gonna snap one day and I'm just gonna live in this 80's fantasy land.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Great performance, I used to have the VHS tape of this. I'd love to see the whole concert that this is from. Anyone catch Les messing up midway through the song?

Looks like Warner's finally released it on DVD. The amazon.com entry says NTSC, all regions. Cheapest offering a new copy and international shipping ... $17.79.

Is that Les doing the "response" singing parts here?

I like how they cut between the band and London kids ... that's the London I remember from visiting in the early '80s.

Just like the old folks in those nursing homes who think it's the 1940's? Can we share a room again?

I'm scouting out hospices to see which one I can get in the youngest. I'll let you know what a double costs.

Or we could all just hand out on Sunset Blvd. at the Rainbow Room and then walk around to the Whiskey, the Roxy, and the Viper Room. All the kids are starting to look punk again. I talked to some kid who was trying to get into Smashing Pumpkins tonight who said he only loves 80s bands. Wow. Maybe the 20 year olds really do know what it's all about, eh?

What's bizarre to me is 80's music isn't going away and seems to have aged (at least elements of it) better than music made in the 90's.

Agreed. Some of it you really, really, don't want hear again. It think some of the stuff that was even really popular back then has (thankfully) been forgotten.

Ian detests this song.

It is great, though.

Too bad. He should get over it. Embrace it. Put it in the set list again. Not look murderously at Will if he starts to play it

I like the Urgh version better than the single version.

That video reminds of why I fell in love with the Bunnymen in the first place and why I'll never forgive Mac for The Fountrain.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Great song. Too much ignored.

I remember in 2003 when they did that live acoustic gig in HMV in London. Will started playing the opening chords to The Puppet and then stopped. I really want to hear the whole song live.

You can just hear the range, dynamics and vibrancy in that song. The sound of a beautiful man with a beautiful voice in love with himself and the world.
No wonder Mac hates it now.
