Query.
Does c*nt still connote the most vile thing a woman can be called? It did back in my day and it was a word never to be used.
If yes, does this mean that 1) Ian doesn't know this, or 2) he really has a basic hatred of women?
Why can't anybody tell him this "joke" IS NOT FUNNY!
IT ONLY MAKES HIM LOOK STUPID!
(sorry for the shouting)
Thank you.

I have to say I thought it was quite amusing, though it might have been funnier tucked away somewhere as an aside rather than used as an opening salvo (and had it not been quoted on here on an earlier thread).

He is most definitely sexist. Odd considering he has two, er, three daughters.

Why are women's feet shorter than men? So that they can stand closer to the cooker.

I dont think it follows that having daughters turns you into a post-modern feminist (wipe away a tear on prom night cos my baby's all growed up) kind of chap. And why would calling a woman the C word (no I daren't say it, in case my mum's listening) be word be worse than calling a bloke it? Thats a bit sexist in itself. Though you (or someone else, cant remember) didn't actually say that did you. And the worst thing about that joke is its not funny. I'm begining to think that he has finally lost it. Bring on the men in white coats I say.

My friend has chosen football over Mac in Brighton on Saturday night and my 13 year old daughter wants to come but I'm a bit worried about him doing the knock knock joke again although she probably won't understand his accent

But the fact that he even uses the c word, in a "joke" he made up (if I heard the BBC broadcast correctly) is questionable.
Maybe he could incorporate the n word into the next joke he makes up.

The weird thing is that setlist looks way more interesting than pretty much any setlist the Bunnymen have played since getting back together.
And Ian sure sounds like a complete douchebag at this point. I really wish they'd just break up the band already (in which I mean Will saying "fuck this" and going to do his own thing, whether that's solo stuff, playing on other people's albums, etc.). It's pretty much diminishing returns at this point and you could argue tarnishing the Bunnymen name as well.

I used to get ass raped a couple years ago for saying that. Subhuman piece of shit is the term, if I remember correctly.

I remember a rant years ago where he said that no important inventions are credited to women.
Does anyone else remember that?

Just to clarify my original point...lol.....it wasnt the joke just the context in which it was said.Tbh that email before about being dead silent really pissed me off in that the amount of control they want of the crowd is just getting silly. When has a Bunnymen crowd stood in silence?Mac feeds off crowd banter but it felt to me like people were literally scared to cough for fear of being chucked out which made the atmosphere just a bit...well weird.Particularly as Mac and a guitar is normally Mac pissing about for an hour which in normal circumstances is great fun.Just felt strange to me but in hidsight it did have its moments.
