One of my favorite songs. I'd like to see them perform it live in December.

True.

Looking at this vid below of Heads Will Roll, I want to borrow Dr Evil's time machine. I so wish I'd seen the band live during their heyday.

It's performances like this that make today's "Bunnymen" seem like such a travesty.

I start hating them until I see their old selves like in these videos. That Rock Ola performance was the best ever. Great video for heads will roll. They must have performed it live but then it was tracked after for some reason. Not sure.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

Tracked? What, re-recorded in a studio to polish it up? Sounds very much live to me.

I totally agree. Pete played like no one before or since. No theatrics, no bullshit. Just a feral intensity just under the surface.

I think Les and Pete were definitely the Bunnymen's secret weapon.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

It looks like they had a live show just fine but then, the fade and some things happen musically on the sound that don't happen on the visual. It sounds almost like the studio version of the song was tracked in when they turned it out to video for Over the Wall.

The Rock Ola show is totally them live. How that settles the confusion. :)

PS Hope everyone is doing well. Been so busy, though the forum is somewhere in the back of my cluttered mind at all times.

I think we have crossed wires there. Over the Wall is mimed to. It's the bog-standard studio version that appears on HUH. I thought you were on about the Rock Ola show.

I would go back in time under normal circumstances. Like most of the rest of you, I was in permanent mourning not just for Pete but the overall loss of the bands greatness. I'd think "the future died in the past", and if it was a one way trip with a completely different future (due to the butterfly effect) I'd leave this rubbish era and go back to the 80's.

But then I found my "new messiah." And for me, nostalgia is over.

Who is this "new messiah"?

If history were corrected, would I have tickets to see The Bunnymen perform at Invesco Field Stadium with 75,000 others instead of U2 next weekend (before Bono screwed up his back)?
