I just listened to the two recordings while downloading them. Ian sounds noticably better the second night. Plus the crowd is not nearly as rowdy. Only bad thing is that I was really into the show and could not help but take pleasure in the whole experience, including singing along at times. This is one night I wish I had a mic stand to hang the recording gear on while I throughly enjoyed myself.

Assuming you are using a video camera rather than just an audio recorder, you have to be like a fly on the wall or you end up with some pretty odd results.
If they can keep that standard up (similar to the classic Brighton Flowers tour gigs) they must be filmed on high quality media-it would be so much better than "Live in Liverpool." It is a matter of bitter regret that I didn't have the equipment to record the Brighton shows, or the motivation- I assumed they were a spent force. But this band simply will not lay down and die.

i think nyc 2nd night was the best of the two for sure an maybe best of the tour - mac sang great! he seemed to have onstage sparkle again throughout the tour - lots of banter and even some dancing... not just clinging to the mic stand as i d seen a few tours back. 2nd night in nyc also had heads will roll and crocodiles in the set - first time all tour - and mac did sing the fountain in middle of nothing lasts forever i think, sounded cool. crowd was really into it. I didnt open the 2nd nyc night and so didnt have all access pass - but peasy found me in the crowd and said you can play rhythm guitar on do it clean !! so stay nearby... Alas, when the encore came the big fellow at the stage door wouldnt let me back - despite my protests... the pain of his unfeeling rule enforcement will probably haunt me forever as i coulda been onstage jamming with the band ! one of those moments when someone shows you no mercy and you want to/do scream - ahh well anyway i had a great time on the tour and im trying to find some pictures to put up here to share, but just got back to SF from nyc and cant really focus on much.

OH WOW....ur actually Kelley Stoltz?? I was at the Sun 5/2 Irving Plaza show! I was pretty bummed out to learn that you would not be opening that night since I had heard fabulous things about you!! Sorry you didn't end up getting to jam with EATB! It was an awesome night tho! Looking forward to seeing ur pictures!

Maybe you could get Mac or Will to play on one of your next albums? Next best thing to jamming with them on stage I would think.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I had the pleasure of meeting you Sharon for the first time and Wabbit for a second time. We need to wear some identifying item that lets us know when we are in the presence of other VT'ers. Was it you Sharon who offered to sit on Ian's lap and he replied?

I loved Kelly's opening act the first night. What a gracious guy the way he complemented the Bunnymen throughout his opening act. One of the best warm ups I've seen. Was glad to see Gordy lending Kelly a hand during part of the performance

I just finished editing the audio for the May 1 Bunnymen show. Now I'm posting the photos. Should be up soon and available for your listening pleasure. Sleep and work always seem to get in the way of my completing it.

Or Kelley could produce the next Bunnymen album. The production techniques that he did for the Crockodials album and from his other albums is kind along the lines of what I think would be ideal for the Bunnymen sound.

*blushing* Yes it was me , however it was not mean like that ! *lmao* He was talking about playing in England or something (and me being homesick) shouted something like "have you got room for me in your suitcase" I think he said "no" it was then that I yelled "I'll sit on your lap then" ( I swear it was totally innocent, I just really want to go back to the UK so badly and know it wont be happening anytime soon ) Hmmmm I think I really need to think about what I say before I say it (especially when I have been drinking) as my hubby wasn't too happy about it, although my brother in law thought it was funny as hell and knew what I meant.

kelley - i really enjoyed your opening act, i was at the keswick show too, but didn't get to hear the whole opening act until the Irving Plaza show (5/1). Loved it... and glad to see Gordy up there too! You had us laughing with all of your stories in between songs. Especially about the bunnymen cake for your birthday! Haha

Sorry you didn't get a chance to jam with the band!

cheers for a great show on saturday night! :)
