Is Les really back?

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

A real sad git has created a Twitter account replacing the O with 0 in Officaialeatb and duplicated our posts.
Heh. Losers plural.

Oh dear. I may create a twitter account just to call him the f*cking loser. Is that against the twitter rules?

It's obvious some folks can't take a joke or are incapable of telling when a joke is being played. Doh.

But in any case, he has no right to call anybody a "fu*kng loser." Like the pot calling the kettle black.

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

And I didn't misspell "0fficial" by accident. It was on purpose. Like "Aministrator".

I just got an e-mail from the Bunnymen mailing list "An Audiance With Ian McCulloch" and the embedded graphic says the same thing along with the dates.

Is this a British way to spell "audience" that I've never seen? Did I really ask that?

I was just about to make a similar post. No, that is not an alternate spelling.

I guess it's one of those sly intentional misspellings to lure us into thinking he misspells words.

Remember when the Bunnymen were fun? I think it was back when Les was in the band.
The response by the admininanator makes it quite clear the band is still not fun, thus Les has not returned.

Simple deduction by any fan could figure this out within fifteen minutes of seeing that Twitter posting.

I was thinking that myself -
Fruit hats, planet helmet, penguin and fish costumes, dressing in drag or like Moses or God
It all gets a bit old when you can't make fun of anything - or yourself.
"Echo and the Bunnymen" isn't the name of a band that should be taking itself all too seriously.

I don't know - perhaps it'd have been funnier to the Aministrator, if I hadn't misspelled the whole welcom back freind thing.

I wasn't trying to humiliate or demean anyone with this stunt - in fact, if I were the Aministrator of bunnymen.com, I'd have probably pulled this stunt on myself.

It all should've stopped before the official entity called a fan (even me) a fu*king loser through its official communication channel.... or maybe THAT was just a joke too.

I'd love one. Maybe the left one first?
