Well, I'm actually going and I actually intend to see them. Even though they will never be what they were through age, death and attrition, I still feel an attachment.

Mt. Whitney will first kick me in the ass and then I join the throng of sweaty overheated people. I'll take a break Saturday (back for the evening sjhows) and hunt for old creepy crawly things in the Marble Mountains in the Mohave Desert.

There will be plenty of creepy crawlies at Coachella. People can be strange...
