Nice to see they've got an up to date photo of Mac to accompany it.

Cashing in on the nostalgia is really getting a bit tiresome...

Obviously not, because these are the only shows that are selling.

As previously reported, Ian McCulloch revealed last year
that he wanted to perform the group's early albums live,
saying it would be "a masterclass for anyone who's ever been in a band that isn't quite as good as the band I was in".

It's another chicken in the basket, but it promises to be a slightly more tasty chicken than the ones that have gone before.

We moan that they don't play many of these songs live nowadays (Heaven Up Here stuff in particular), the least we can do is give them a break when they actually decide to do it.
Much of the recent stuff's been slated on here, Ocean Rain's been done and like it or not the Burned and Reverberation eras seem unlikely to get an airing. What do we expect them to tour with, U2's Greatest Hits?
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'

Agree totally. I'm not a nostalgia person; the Bunnymen passed me by in the 1980s, but I'd much rather hear Crocodiles, HUH, Ocean Rain (or Porcupine or even Evergreen for that matter) in their entirety than go to another one of the recent greatest hits gigs complete with a few songs off the Fountain, or even if there was more from that album. Quite frankly, this is Bunnymen at their best ~ certainly from a song writing perspective. Usually, we'd sigh and roll ours eyes at another Mac soundbite, but on this one he is correct, it should be a "masterclass in rock and roll".

"Should" being the operative word here, it all depends which Mac turns up for the shows I reckon, if it's the couldn't give a toss, I hate everyone and I want to be somewhere else Mac it'll most likely be a masterclass in how to orchestrate a complete disaster. Lets hope that particular Mac stays at home.

Hence why I put "should". Certainly, I would rather that it was cancelled if Mac isn't up to it. I have my doubts about how even the up for it version of Mac will handle certain songs off HUH, but I'm expecting this to be even better than the Ocean Rain tours.

Well like he said in that interview in that other thread he can always "repair" them by performing them "properly"!
