How can they be sold out if the tickets aren't on sale yet?

That's the worst side of modern muzic. How many times have you seen a gig advertised with "tickets on sale on" and thought to yourself, I'll buy some, only to find that the telephone lines are jammed up, the ticket website crashes and then after an hour they have sold out as hundreds of people buy tickets to sell them at five times their face value on one of those "fan swap" ticket websites or e-bay.

Having said that, anyone seriously think that an Echo & The Bunnymen will sell-out quickly, let alone before they even go on sale. Someone is taking the piss (ha! Bunnymen tickets sold out) or it's probably just a technical glitch with Ticketweb's website. Maybe someone read on here that the likes of myself, Dr Cheese, Scouser and others have agreed to venture out to another Bunnymen gig and quickly hacked into the website to make it look like they had sold out so we won't go. I'm all for conspiracy theories when it comes to the Bunnymen.

All I can say is that there are dark forces at work. I hear voices in my head all the time telling me so. Ssh, they they are again. What? Yes. I know.

well that could be a balls up by the ticket twats or a scam to get our attention. either way, not that likely to sell out in minutes I'd guess. And if it does i wouldn't be at all surprised if the don't do that thig where they suddenly find there are more tickets and release a few more nearer the time. Plus its far enough away isn't it that if its a massive sell out (ho ho and take that as you will) they could schedule in some more. And then theres the special edition live album signed by those two blokes in the band. also, remindme, am I supposed to be eating my hat or something?

I've just ordered two. There was a restriction on the number of tickets allowed per order, 6 each for upper and lower balconies and 6 standing (maybe KOK was planning on treating all us VTers and reached the maximum?). My son's gutted, there's a minimum of 14 age policy so he'll have to miss out this time (so much for getting a younger audience involved, shame but it's a venue not band issue).

Checking the official site and following their links, it appears so. Went on sale TODAY! Mental. £27-30 with booking fees. So, Ticketmaster may actually have sold out.

Is it just the Glasgow tickets that are on sale because according to this:

http://www.gigsandtours.com

all the others aren't up for grabs until Friday?

(Scratches head). According to the official site (live), they went on sale 24.03.10 which is today. Following their gigsandtours link (which I can't seem to get to post up on here for some unknown reason), you can buy tickets for Liverpool, Birmingham and Brixton now. I haven't bought anything yet as I'm pondering whether to go to Brixton or maybe even Liverpool, so I am only assuming the checkout works.

It's probably me being dense but I can't find any mention of these gigs or any links or anything on the official site?

Come out of sexynunslikeagoodspanking.com and go to ---www.bunnymen.com--- ensuring that you turn your speakers off as not to hear a tune from The Fountrain. Once the site is loaded up, use the menu on the left hand side and click on "Live", which is in between "uk video tour blog" and "multimedia gallery". That should bring up a list of gigs.

Using the scroller (or whatever you call it) on the right hand side scroll down to the bottom where it gives the four dates with "TICKETS GO LIVE 24/03/10" written in red. Click on one of these and another browser window should open to order tickets for the Birmingham, London and Liverpool dates.

The URL for the gigs is:

----http://www.gigsandtours.com/gat/event.asp?n|showname=coming&showname=echo+and+the+bunnymen&e|promoter=372&orderby=date&filler1=gigsandtours&filler2=echoandthebunnymen-----

Cheers, Moss.
