General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

I think the use of "I" might be less "all about me" and more about her sensing Mac doesn't want this relationship/baby/etc to be public knowledge. Hence, the mysterious erasing of the news from Wikipedia.

That could be true. Will be interesting to see if she posts pix of Dusty May (poor kid. what a name!) on her myspace page, and how quickly they are removed.

The next morning I call Larry. I was going to write about Stewart Lee, but now I'm not sure. I'll have to get my facts straight. In the course of these blogs I've already alienated half the band, Larry's missus, all of Britain's Hell's Angels, the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen...

I'm mildly curious but don't have the strength to go through all the blogs to find out why he alienated the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen,

So this is what was removed from Mac's wikipedia page?

"On 2nd February 50 year old McCulloch had another daughter to his 25 year old girlfriend, the baby is still nameless"

I can see why.

No, it was more like "early in 2010 frontman McCulloch became a father for the third time. A daughter, Dusty May McCulloch was born to he and Zoe Devlin aka Devlin Love, a twentysomething member of the group Alabama 3"

If she wanted to maintain any privacy to appease him, she wouldn't have posted the child's last name or included his first name on the Zodiac Mindwarp posting. Also, Ian shouldn't have told the crowd in Australia about becoming a father again.

The use of "I" and not "we" tells me that they're not functioning as a unit.

I doubt he knows what's been posed on the internet (wikipedia, myspace, VT). His handlers either delete the news or keep him from seeing it and the idiot thinks his news is safe.

I do find it remarkable that there has been no slippage or casual mention from anybody in a blog or whatever during the nine months she was pregnant and even after the birth. I think what he considers privacy is actual nobody even caring (except apparently us).

Also, is it common practice to give the child born out of wedlock the father's last name? I thought the kid got the mother's last name, regardless of what the birth certificate said.

Born out of wedlock???? Sorry did I take a wrong turn and end up in an episode of Dr Finlay's Casebook sometime in the 1960s? Anyways........ registration-wise (here in the UK at any rate) if you aren't married you can only put the old man's name on if he's there when you do it - otherwise george clooney would have millions of kids. Whether you do is a matter of choice. Alot of people put both on. My sprogs have all got my name even though me and the late mrs cherry never tied the knot, as it were. And how you refer to them in public is your choice too since not many people actually look at the birth certificate. I think I'd get a bit pissed off if people were chatting on the internet about the minutae of what I do. Obviously when your a pop megastar you have to take the rough with the smooth. to not want your mush in the glossies doesn't seem a bad thing.

Well of course she gave the baby his name. How else could it help her career-wise, especially after they split? This whole thing, or dare I say this woman, is pretty transparent and pathetic. Wonder what Mac's kids think of her.

So why exactly do we think Mac is so intent on the news not getting out?

Probably doesn't remember sticking his penis in her.

Anybody remember when Eddie Murphy knocked up Scary Spice?

cor what a bunch of old biddies. This is worse than the drugs (use of) threads. Maybe he just sees it as none of our business, which it isn't really. Not unreasonable. Perhaps we're all jealous because we wanted to have his baby. OMG, did I just say that? Anyway, she's bagged a bunnyman.

Well if it's none of our business why was he so open about Candy's birth, even putting her in a video as a toddler?

You have to feel sorry for the child

Will Mac be a proper father figure and participate in chageing nappies and so on.

When the kid hits secondary School Mac will be in his sixtys and when she hits her late teens Mac will probably be Dead or in his 70's

Will this force Mac to give up the Bunnymen-, so he can be there for the first words, first steps ect

Its a bif commitment as we all know having kids.

Its great being a grandad when I have had enough I hand them back and I'm not even 50 yet.

My kids were little bastards until a year or so ago. It was never a problem for withahip. Jack still won't accept them.
