Love for the Fountain...getting airplay at least once in LA

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

thats pretty much what I meant, you lot, but 99.99% of americans would have only have heard them through a couple of films and the odd 80s college station. I mean they haven't ever really bothered the charts much have they?

The percentage was a bit higher depending on where you were. Their main thing was album sales, not singles. But they were in heavy rotation in So Cal.

I don't remember when I first heard of the Bunnymen. That's too far back in time! But I'd hazard a guess it was some combo of a) friends, b) college radio, c) MTV and/or d) music press.

Most people I come across are familiar with the Bunnymen because of the prominent role The Killing Moon played in Donnie Darko.

But yeah I see a lot of heads bop when Lips Like Sugar comes on.

I think the Grey album charted like number 80 - something here?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Yes, I think it was something like that. Can be looked up on Billboard.com.

There was a big spread about them and the Teardrops in Creem in 1981. Someone from Creem followed them the day of the Buxton Pavillion/Shine So Hard event. Wild, huh?

Remember Creem? We just don't have many music magazines anymore. Sad.
