Seriously? £102! I'll get shot of my copy if its fetching that much.

Is it any good? It's okay - at that stage there was no recent live versions of Zimbo, Silver or Angels and Devils, that's primarily why I bought it. I like the covers of Hang Onto A Dream, which has since resurfaced on one of the special limited edition once only compilations, and It's All Over Now (Baby Blue). Avalanche is a cool song and kind of suggested that the band could write different-sounding songs if they could be bothered. I just dislike the "doo doo" chorus. Scouser, you'd probably not like the ep much to be honest.

If I could get £60+ for it, I'd sell it straight away as not owning it anymore wouldn't be of any bother.

ho ho. they might still be flogging it at gigs. its one of those i have two copies of because they rereleased it with the electrafixion versions of baseball bill which i picked up at the royal court gig a few years ago. apart from those the only half decent stuff on it is the tim hardin song. the radio karen version of its all over now baby blue is better than the version here and the others seem fairly pointless. only thing i like about the title track are the doo doo doos.

I liked the concept of the song Avalanche, but the nasal vocals ruined it for me, as well as the doo-doo-doos. Hang Onto A Dream was well done, though. I remember years ago someone on the BOF at the time asked if the title track was about cocaine. Peter Webmaster said unequivocally "no." Hahahahahahah!

Oh you mean Avallanche. Amazing CD. Mac got his 80s vocals back for the five tracks when it was recorded. Storming versions of Thorn of Crowns and Going Up, great cover version of Father Abraham & The Smurfs' Smurf Song and a Will Sergeant penned Glide-ish ditty called When the Moons Collide. Don't like the "Da Da Da" bits in the Avallanche chorus though.

So what is the rarest Bunnymen collectable / release / promo these days (surely not that Avalanche CD went for well over the odds)? Any ideas Dave? There's a Japanese promo album which seems to go for a fair bit and the bag with contents for the Grey Album is probably worth a few bob (anyone got one of those?) though I've never seen one on Ebay.

I've got the Jap promo record and the video out of the Grey Album bag.They split the bag up in Plastic Factory Brum so I just bought the video.

Rarest.....dunno.Possibly that 'More Green'?? French cd with the Evergreen b-sides?I've never seen it anywhere.I've got the Get in the Car swedish single which is pretty groovy.Heaven Up Here different mixes album?I;ve deffo got an album with different mixes to the ones on CD currently being reissued.Only minor differences-no booming bass at end of SOS and extra guitar in WAH.Dont know if its the same album or not.

As far as what I've seen sell on eBay, the original Avalanche and that Swedish "Get In The Car" single have always fetched a pretty decent price.

I had two of the original Avalanches and someone ripped me off in a trade for some Electrafixion rarities. I was one of the lucky ones to buy it from the Gimme Music online fiasco and then I won a signed copy which I still have. I also bought the re-release just to get Baseball Bill songs which were only available on vinyl previously.

I've got the original Avalanche plus the yellow vinyl Electrafixion single.....if you remember the band Rialto released some stuff on it as well.Those were the internet days!25 minutes to download Wojo's wisdom.

Not many rarities really with Bunnymen major label output.Its not rare but one of my fave items is Shine So Hard flip-top cassette.It appeared up Dudley market many years ago for £1.The bloke hadnt heard of them!Stuff like that and my bootleg albums I like better than Dancing Horses Cow picture disc!

My more fave items that I've collected is a 7" Spanish promo of Proud To Fall, which I got autographed and a cassette of WAYGTDWYL made in the Phillipines (just for the sheer absurdity of it).

I saw the EATB duffle bag once. I remember it having a promo video. Not sure what else was in it. I thought the bag was gaudy. It was pricey so I passed.

I tried to get the Jap promo (The Very Best of...) many times, but was never successful. At one time, that was the most valuable item they had.

I'm not sure and I don't know how that works nor do I own it. I take it it says nothing about Sweden anywhere at all?

It's always been a Swedish release as far as I've known which to be honest always seemed odd to me unless it was released there a promo preceding a show there but I can't see that they played at all in Sweden in 98-99. Maybe it was made in Germany and then released in Sweden only as a promo or maybe it was a German release all along and my original source was incorrect.
I Googled the catalog number and it only shows up on two sites, VT and the An Annotated Discography website that Kristen(Is that her name?) was doing. I compared the German/French release of the CD single for Nothing Lasts Forever and it has a much shorter catalog number. I also looked on eil.com, Gemm, ebay, Discogs, etc etc Nothin.
