I saw the trailer for this when I was at the movies last week. It looks amazing! Real edge of the seat stuff!
I'm wondering how creepy/gory is it? Or is it just implied? I love me a good thriller, but hate all the blood and guts that often goes with it.

Not that Gory.

And the best part is even though Tommy Lee Jones is in it, he isn't the central character. Thus, one can forget they are watching a movie because the rest of the actors, though amazing, are not recognizable.

You in Britain? It is just oh so good. And see Michael Clayton. Cooney wanted the movie made so bad he only took profit for it and no salary. MAde for 23 million I think and grossed 50 million. Pennies by movie standards.

I liked Michael Clayton better than No Country partly because I wish the real world worked like that movie.

It was good though how the Coen bros. kept the movie close to the book except I'd rather see Cormac's "The Road" made into a movie.
No Country wasn't all that bloody but too much violence for me.

The way it was shot really made it feel like you were in that decade with them. I think Rob Zombie has that same talent.

Across The Universe?

It's one of the best films I've seen in years,
which surprises me as I don't like musicals, and I've never liked the Beatles,
but I found this movie to be amazing....I loved everything about it!
(And it's given me a new understanding of why all the fuss about the Beatles for so long....... I even think the songs aren't half bad the way they're done in the movie!)


I also liked Control.......but I've always been a fan of Anton Corbijn.

I think I've missed Michael Clayton, can't find it showing anywhere. I'll have to wait for the DVD. It's had very mixed reviews here.

I agree! Both films were great and I'm not a Beatles fan either.

Jim Sturgess was amazing. It made me want to be in Liverpool. I could see him playing a young Ian McCulloch with the right haircut! I see he's in a new film about scamming Vegas and he does an American accent in the film.
I was blown away by the English actor who played Max because of his perfect American accent in "Across the Universe"

Max was the same guy who played Peter Hook in "Control"!!
