Bat For Lashes

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Hmmmmm, it is good. A little too operatic on most other tracks. Or teen angsty.

I quite like some of her music, even if it is a blatant rip-off of Stevie Nicks and moreso Bjork (listen to The Wizard and Good Love especially). Good singer, but Natasha Kahn and her band look like a bunch of toss-pot music students on stage. Really lack any stage presence or charisma. I saw her live last year and came out feeling a bit underwhelmed after the event, unlike when I saw Bjork a few years back, who is much better. Besides performing "Daniel" two or three times including in the encore was milking it.

Bjork is good. Recently there have been any army of great female singer-songwriters who put the boys to shame. But Bat for Lashes seem to have all the right ingredients, hot chick, mysterious indie cool, but somehow the whole is less than the sum of the parts-the singers voice is nice, but there seems a lack of commitment, depth and virility. So try the Yeah Yeah Yeah's instead. Or better still go to a gig with a girl who has some rather fey, twee indie folk posted on the web, so only plays small venues because not enough people buy her LP's or see her live shows. When the truth dawns on you (she's a god-like genius to rival Mac at his best) I will buy you a drink to stop you shaking. I will only post the location-that way you won't be put off by the rubbish she puts on the net. Only my film shows her (and her pal's) greatness, and I'll be there to get more footage. DO NOT look for the singer, just go.THAT IS AN ORDER!
P.S. I am not her manager, just a crazed, obsessed fan. Remember when Mac seemed like the real version of Ziggy, and we held on to every word or stayed up all night to hear the Bunnymen on the radio or television? That obsessed.
