Let's hope we don't need to play this. Seriously.

I just got the inside dope: it turns out he got to the airport AFTER the plane left.

Give the lad a break. Who the fuck wants to go to Australia anyway?

Would this even have been news in the 80s? Just wondering. There really weren't all these festivals, were there? The whole festival thing got kicked off again with stuff like Live Aid and Lollapaloosa...or did it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Oh hell, just correct me anyway. And use some swearing, too.

Good point. If it had been the 80s there would not have been a festival. He would not have had a plane to miss and it wouldn't be news.

You are 100% right.

And as Australia is still in the 80s the festival probably didn't even exist anyway.

Since the exact "80's" were not defined I thought I would point out that the name Australia was not used until the 1790's so in the 1780's Australia technically did not exist.

Another bad thing about Australia is that everything is upside down so you get headaches. I also saw on Seinfeld that dingo's may eat your baby.

That festival or any other I'm thinking...except Glastonbury. This Australian thingie started last year from what I read. It was wonderful thoughts of recreating Woodstock, which actually recreated some of Altamont. Or the neverending 80s spirit of bigger-is-better events--Live Aid, Farm Aid, Hands Across America and Do They Know it's Christmas? Lollapalooza basically tanked and stopped traveling. It's looking like festivals are the new thang.
