I'm not classically trained, so I may not be using the correct terms here, but the background melody from All My Life shows up in Everlasting Neverendless. In the bridge maybe? I dunno, but I was listening to the grey album for the first time in a looong time today and it jumped right out at me.

I don't have it available to me right now but that doesn't surprise me. Mac has been known to recycle bits and pieces of older lesser known Bunnymen or solo songs in newer material in the last 12 years or so.

Good to know that we don't need to be classically trained as Diva Diana has so kindly pointed out. I was rather worried that I may have to be - as I perfectly understood what Shadow on the trees was saying.

They may not be what we regard as "classic Bunnymen style" but those are probably my two favourite tracks from their respective albums, especially when I'm feeling a bit maudlin (yes, I know, who's "Maudlin"? ha, ha). They both sound a bit solo-Mac but they're great songs.

I think that some of the riffs in Everlasting Story sound similar to those done in Seven Seas. Easily one of the few decent songs on the album. As for regurgitating tunes, my guess is Everlasting Neverendlessless is probably no more than D G chords maybe with a variation here and there, which is probably standard song writing for tons of Bunnymen songs since Crocodiles.

I think of The Smiths/Johnny Marr when I hear Everlasting Neverendless. Even with that, it's a nice song.

He's recycled many songs throughout the years. B-sides became A-sides and vice versa. I used to remember, but I've lost track. One that comes to mind is Rocket Ship became Holy Grail.
