Sopranos

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

The Sopranos was good but the writing could have been better and some of the acting stunk. It was ground breaking for its subject matter, much like the Godfather movies.

In my opinion, The Wire should be near or at the top of this list. I didn't care for the way the series ended, but that doesn't negate the superb storylines, writing and acting throughout its run.

Currently, Breaking Bad is making a run for top drama, even outpacing Mad Men and Damages.

I think the writing was good throughout. True, some of the acting could have been better but Edie Falco and James Gandolfini more than made up for the likes of Aida Turturro (who got better as it progressed) and you just have to forgive Little Stevie the bad acting cos he's a nice chap and it kind of suited his character anyway.

Edie Falco was great throughout. She should have won an award for the arc when Tony was in a coma.

Sometimes James Gandolfini just looked retarded. I assume he was acting during those scenes.

He didn't get too many scenes/episodes, but the actor who played Hesh was solid. Sorry to say I can't recall his name.

Jerry Adler.

Most of the guests were also brilliant, Joe Pantoliano was a riot and Steve Buscemi was fantastic.
