Ocean Rain: Live In Liverpool CD/DVD

Postby industri » Sun Jan 03, 2010 11:57 pm

So - I've harped about this enough around here (and the official forum) - but I thought I'd throw this out there...

So... I paid for the album. Never came. Never came. Never came. No response to numerous emails, no replies to board postings. Finally, I irritated them enough that they sent me a refund without any explanation as to where the original order got to in the first place.

That being said, as pissed off as I am, I still kinda want the CD/DVD set (glutton for punishment, I suppose) - so I figured I'd ask here in case anyone has an extra, or regretted spending the £ and would rather sell it off.

A longshot, I know, but I thought someone here MIGHT have gotten a duplicate for Christmas or something, so figured I'd try...

Thanks, and this is the last I'll discuss this situation - sorry to harp on...

I didn't buy the package but that is weird. I wonder how many people are in that situation.

We don't mind when people harp. It makes things entertaining. That purchase is a contract to deliver the goods. I'm glad they gave you a refund. Can it be purchased from Amazon?

I'd keep an eye out on Ebay, there was one for sale a few weeks ago and I think it fetched around £20.

"We" dont mind when people harp! No-one speaks for this Forum (well, OK maybe Mr Brian) and certainly not you having only been here 5 bloody minutes!
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

I got mine a few months after I ordered it. Afte I filed a complaint with paypal. I also got an excuse of some being lost in the mail.

And after all my kvetching, it was nice to get the cd/dvd signed by Will and Ian.

Yeah they probably really enjoyed signing yours.

As I already mentioned, but you'll love hearing this again because it's about me;
I cancelled mine, got a refund and was sent the CD anyway. Being the honest little soul that I am, I retransferred the money via Paypal, you know, in case darling little Candy McCulloch's modelling career isn't going too well (she's a model, you know) and she might need some pocket money from dear old dad. I'd hate to be responsible for her having to go without.

Brian, can you please move this to the crap about me thread - sorry, forgot my own rule/suggestion thingumy.

Could be. They obviously knew I was the bigger fan, though.
I also got a refund belonging to some guy called Michael in Düsseldorf - weird.

It's just the brutal unprofessionalism of it. They contacted me via PM on the main board to discuss the issue, and get my PayPal address (which I'd already sent 3 weeks prior so they could look into my order) - I responded to the PM saying I'd rather have the disc than a refund - or at least an explanation... but before they even read my PM, they refunded the money... and the order never arrived.

Yes, at least I got the refund, but it still soured me a little. I know the Bunnys aren't responsible for this, but they empower people to manage this stuff for them - and they really treated a fan (me) badly...

I think this era is all about burning fans and really kinda crapping on their reputation... the Ocean Rain show was excellent, but it really makes you notice the weakness of parts of their recent work (as much as I did enjoy The Fountain), and the lack of respect for their fans (high ticket costs, high merch costs etc etc).

meh.

(And I'd been checking eBay - hadn't noticed one selling there d'oh! Will keep an eye open - thanks for the tip)

A once great band, now in over their heads without the support of a major label and producers, friends and bandmates to assist in the creative process and distribution.

Just a couple of suncophants pretending to be big time.

I wonder how badly Will and Ian get burned financially when they do play live now.
