I've asked for a Will interview before and was ignored. I'm not sure if he ever really got the e-mail himself as I went through his Glide site and I think Peter does that as well.
Ian doesn't even own a computer so that is not going to happen ever.
I asked Bill Drummond through his site and at least he politely declined:
Dear Brian,
Thanks for your email and invitation. I have enjoyed looking at the site and have just read the Noel Burke interview where I think he comes over very well and am pleased he has such a positive take on it all.
As for me, I think I said everything that I have wanted to say in my story From The Shores Of Lake Placed published in 45. I do not have a problem with you publishing all of that on your site. That said I do not have it on my hard drive, you would have to take it direct from the book.
Yours,
Bill Drummond
Noel Burke was very gracious and that was a lot of fun.
Before Jake died I thought about trying to contact him but at the time I just figured anyone currently associated with the band was not going to play with me.
This might give everyone a better idea of why VilliersTerrace.com is shunned by the BOF...
The official stance of why no mention of VT is allowed at the BOF is, and I quote from an e-mail from Peter Allen in February 2008:
Hi Brian hope you are well mate, just wanted to alert you to why I have had to remove the link to Villiers from the forum, the management have asked me to remove it as they don't see it fit to link to a website that mentions, how should I put this "alleged personal habits of a bands lead singer that he might undertake in private", I have checked the forum and there are a few reference to a particular titled soft drink (I think you know what I mean mate)
I see that there is a whole section of links to Bunnymen sites in the Mega BOF 2010 except the one with a forum. And this is because Ian's personal habits were discussed 2 years ago? I really doubt it.
This was my response, in case anyone was wondering:
There are probably more reasons than that to remove the link back to my site, but that one is certainly convenient. I happen to have it under good authority that the alleged habit is anything but alleged and I feel the topic is fair game because it does affect the band and therefore is not purely a private matter.
