The recorder of the music, Share The Tape, says "Please do not encode lossless music to MP3s except for your own personal usage." It is the classic lossless vs. lossy debate. My opinion has always been convert the music into whatever format people prefer. Once it is posted and available for anyone to get their hands on, I say it is fair game regardless of what the taper prefers (its not like its "their" music). I converted parts of the Liverpool shows into lossy MP3 format for ease of listening, using a low kbps only because I want to save the lossless file for at least one trade.

Whats the VT rule on converting lossless files to MP3 and distributing against the wishes of the taper?

It's a good audience recording that sounds like the micraphone was placed in the back of a cavernous concert hall. I intend to eventually "fix" the sound for my own listening pleasure.
