The not quite so obligatory 4AD bands thread...

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I had a roommate that was a big 4AD fan and after listening to his albums the label alone was enough for me to bet on a band. Much like Peel session records.

The video is pretty weak but the song is great.

I feel better about my life ever since I joined this forum. I thought I was IMAGINING these bands in the deep recesses of my mind. They are real.

I remember Pale Saints and This Mortal Coil.

They might let me out of the institution now that I can prove I'm sane. I won't even tell you what they did to me when I told them that EATB was really the best band in the world at one time. They were like, "She must be crazy." A little dose of Ocean Rain, Porcupine, HUH and Crocodiles and I should be out...just waiting for my mother to bring my CDs. ;)
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

If they're kind with you and feed you well in there, I'd stay where I was. It's really bad out here, it's not like the VT forum at all.

I bought a This Mortal Coil CD based on the recommendation of a hot goth chick but it sucked. She was hot enough that I pretended to like it though.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I did everything I could to make my penis look like Robert Smith (hairspray and lipstick) but I was never able to fool her.

Maybe you should have fattened it up a bit.

I never actually bought a This Mortal Coil album. The few songs I like by them I love. I conveniently ignored the bulk I didn't.

It is a skill I wish I still possesed today. Iw ould be much less bitter about my cd purchases.

Really? I'm not bitter about any of my shitty CD purchases. If anything they make me look more eclectic.

That's what blank cd-rs are for. Just write whatever on the cover and refuse to play them for people.

Which word? Bitter? Eclectic? Shitty?
I'm a little bitter about spending money buying a few CDs because my friends were also buying them. In two instances I never broke open the celophane. What was I thinking?

Shadows On the Trees told me it was hot when I used ten dollar words.
